Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer (BigQuery Development) to support a data platform migration from Oracle PL/SQL to Google BigQuery. The ideal candidate is a strong PL/SQL developer with hands-on experience in BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform, capable of building, optimizing, and supporting cloud-based data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Build, support and automate all GCP infrastructure
- Big Query report implementation
- Operational Data Store expertise
- Optimize and support log analysis/alerting using BigQuery
- Create bash scripts to automate various development, deployment and backup operations
- Clearly document all processes and tools

Expectations
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- JIRA/Confluence/Agile Central tool awareness and hands on
- Have at least 3 years of experience in Google Cloud platform (especially Big Query)
- Strong understanding of cloud-native operations, technologies, principles, and Infrastructure as a code
- 2+ years Google Cloud infrastructure support
- PL/SQL Oracle procedure development- at least 4 years.
- 2+Experience with a Cloud Data Warehouse (Big Query, RedShift, Snowflake)
- Good experience with Google Cloud IAM policies
- Bachelors/Master’s Degree
