Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Bucharest. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and supporting the financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Romanian accounting regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure compliance with Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and HR, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Expectations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS) and IFRS.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Fluency in Romanian and English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Employer's offer
Salary: 7000-7300 ron net
Meal tickets: 27 ron/day
Hybird working module (2 days/week at the office - Pipera)
Schedule is Mon-Fri regular hours 09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00
